The Secretariat for Civil Society Relations and Community Development of the Office of the Chief of Ministers of the Nation entrusted us with carrying out a qualitative field survey of Civil Society Organizations by applying a georeferenced digital survey and the construction of an interactive web map platform where the information obtained can be viewed, consulted and downloaded.
This platform is interoperable for internal and external users of the secretariat and connects with field survey teams.
Tasks performed include:
• Creation of the form: the Kobo survey ecosystem was implemented for the design of the instrument for loading points in the territory.
• Database creation: the results of the survey were integrated through API and programming to generate a database that directly consumes the records collected from Kobo. The database was built using PostgreSQL and PHP for automation.
• Platform development with technology integration: an interactive viewer was implemented using Leaflet, in addition to the Bootstrap visual framework and brand icons. The data is queried directly from the PostgreSQL database and is rendered in a grouped manner to facilitate navigation of the points.
• Training for surveyors and technical staff of the Secretariat: in-person workshops were held at the Secretariat offices to instruct the team in the use of all the tools. They were also trained virtually on our educational platform to be able to manage the data in the future.
